Disliked: Amount of emails and messages received - so many it got confusing - I booked for six people only to find we were in 2 separate rooms. There was a sofa bed not made up which was too small for 2 single adults

Liked: Room is spacious and has everything you need. Well thought out facilities and a very comfortable bed. Extra parking appreciated. Excellent location.

Disliked: Online pre-check in process was convoluted and felt unnecessary (providing photos of passport/drivers licence, paying £75 deposit for damages). Multiple phone calls about this plus check in process also felt excessive. The check in process once we arrived at the property was actually really easy, straight-forward, and self-explanatory.

Disliked: deposit requested , you had my cc details, that should be enough, i travelled all over the world and this was my first time being asked for deposit, thankfully it was waivered , this is not necessary and i imagine would put people off, and why is it called on the sign outside Emerald ??

Liked: The friendliness and helpfulness of Kate before our stay. The constant 24°C temp in the hall and landing - very welcoming on the cool nights. Great in-room facilities. The ideal location.

I had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again

Liked: The Adelphi is in a great location, a short walk from the RSC theatre and shops in the town. It has off-road parking. The room was very spacious and clean and was at the back of the property and so was very quiet. I was travelling alone and felt very safe in the property and in my room which had a good lock on the door. The host, Kate, was really friendly and informative and gave me all the information I needed to access the property and to use the car park

Disliked: I read in other reviews that the boiler is noisy. I took earplugs and it didn't bother me at all. The room is very quiet, at the back of the property so there is no noise from the road at the front. I didn't hear anything from other guests either.

Great place, very very nice people, in the heart of the city. Perfect for tourism! Great accommodation. Great bed! Good parking place. With the sun the room was kind of hot, but with both windows open, the temperature dropped. Good shower and beautiful room.

Convenient location and parking.

Liked: Location excellent. Bed linen very nice, and hot water bottle appreciated.

Disliked: The bureaucracy beforehand, and overload of messages even once we were there.

Staying at The Adelphi was great! The room was lovely and clean, super big comfy bed, hot powerful shower, quiet even though there were other people in the building. Great location - easily walkable to all the attractions, great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend!

Perfect bolt hole for Theatre trip … definitely would return when next in area

Liked: The property was perfect for our two night stay. I had researched others but by far this was the best choice as it was not only great value, but perfect location for the Theatre and included parking (which seemed to be hard to find in Stratford). The staff were excellent in communicating arrangements for access etc.

Disliked: Absolutely nothing to dislike

Disliked: Some noise did travel through the rooms, but it was not significant. Not a problem for us, but note there is just a microwave and kettle rather than full cooking facilities

Place exactly as described and super close to the station

Overall we had a comfortable stay, location was a few mins walk from the town centre. The apartment was clean and comfortable also warm. Only a microwave, kettle and toaster but that was sufficient for our needs. Good fridge and tv had excellent selection of services. The main problem we had was that it seems the boiler for the whole house was stored in our bathroom (room 4) and every time another guest used hot water it fired up, which during the night did wake us up and then we struggled to get back to sleep.
